| TRAINING & PLACEMENT
A state of art TRAINING AND PLACEMENT cell has been established as a common facility for
all professional courses run by the society. The following are its activities.

Teachers’ Training Programme on “Instructional Strategies” was organized from July 2-4 for sixty faculty members. Dr. P. Shiva Kumar, Professor and Head of the Department of Education Technology, National Institute of Technical Teachers’ Training & Research, Chennai conducted workshop sessions on techniques for improvement of quality of teaching.
The training and placement cell is overseeing training of our students in soft skills, in maths and English and software modules under Infosys Campus Connect programme. Variegate Projects Private Limited, Deloitte and Dhanus Infotech companies conducted a placement drive in October, in which 21 students secured jobs. One student was selected in Infosys Technologies Limited campus recruitment. TCS and Converges companies conducted on line tests in March.

Teachers Training Programme on Instructional Strategies was organized to all the teaching staff of Kottam Group of Institutions with National Institute of Technical Teachers Training and Research (NITTTR) Chennai, workshop sessions on techniques for improvement of quality of teaching.
Our final year students receive first prize in Essay competitions conducted by A.P. 10th Police Batallion in view of Police commemoration day celebrations.
Third year students received the appreciation certificates on Bhagwat Gita contest conducted on Jan 31th by ISKON group of Temples at Kurnool.
Second Year students participated in state level Pharma fest – 2010 by K.V.S.R. Siddaratha College of Pharmaceutical sciences, Vijayawada and received prizes in Pharma Quiz competition.
Third year student K. Aruna participated at National Level symposium conducted by SAFA College of Pharmacy and received third prize on oral presentation topic ‘Ion Channels.’
NOTE :THE CAMPUS INTERVIEWS ARE BEING ARRANGED AND RESULTS WILL BE PUT IN WEBSITE IN DUE COURSE.

Mr. KSS Kasyap of II B.Tech (ECE), prepared and demonstrated the working of a prototype Electrical Generator. The model attracted the attention of a school that used it as a model in their Science Fare.
Ripples : February , 2010 IInd prize Mr. G. Vasudeva Rao and Ms. K. Harini of I MBA have won 2nd Prize in the HR event organized by Ramakrishna P.G.College, Nandyal.
Bhuma : March, 2010 Mr. G. Vasudeva Rao and Ms. A. Sravani and MA. Z. Afroz have won 2nd prize in the HR event organized at Allagadda Institute of Management, Allagadda.

SRI KOTTAM TULASI REDDY MEMORIAL COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING The NSS unit of the college organized ten day long camp at Jinkalapally village in February. The NSS volunteers and students contributed their mite and services to the flood affected victims of nearby villages. The management hosted around 400 people for 5 days, providing them with food and shelters in our buildings.
An Industrial visit was organized for third year students to “Surya Teja Power Project Pvt. Ltd” on 23.01.2010 I B.Tech ECE students visited BSNL Exchange Pebbair & BSNL Exchange Wanaparthy.

ANNUAL DAY CELEBRATIONS

Celebrations were held on 02nd April, 2010 in college campus
Shri. CGS Sarma, Former Director, DEBEL, Bengaluru was is the Chief Guest.
Sri. K. L. Narasimham, Chairman & Advisor, Kottam Institutions presided over the meeting.The Chief Guest advised the students on the importance of knowledge of the subject to face tough competition in securing jobs. He also stressed the need for research and development in the field of Technology.
The meeting was followed by prize distribution to the students and staff and also cultural events by the students.
KOTTAM INSTITUTE OF ADVANCED STUDIES & KOTTAM INSTITUTE OF P.G STUDIES
Celebrations were held on 03nd April, 2010 in college campus
Shri. C. Praveen Reddy, Director, Automotive Robotics (India) Pvt. Ltd.,& Shri. Rama Rao Simhadri, Senior Manager, CISCO Net Academy, Bengaluru, were Guests of Honor of the evening.
Sri. K. L. Narasimham, Chairman & Advisor, Kottam Institutions presided over the meeting.Shri. Rama Rao, encouraged the students by giving information about employment potential in computer networking.
Shri. C. Praveen Reddy, while referring to the placement statistics of the students in the college campus explained the importance of behavior of employees in the companies.The meeting was followed by prize distribution to the students and staff and also cultural events by the students.

Dr. B.R. Reddy, Director, Operations – NATCO Pharma Ltd., Hyderabad was is the chief guest.Sri. K. L. Narasimham, Chairman & Advisor, Kottam Institutions presided over the meeting.Dr. B.R. Reddy, encouraged the students by giving information about employment potential in Pharma Industry and exhorted the role of pharma qualified women in industry.
The meeting was followed by prize distribution to the students and staff and also cultural events by the students.

Celebrations were held on 05nd April, 2010 in college campus
Dr. KSR. Anjaneyulu, Director, R & D, JNTU, Ananthapur was is the Chief Guest.Sri. K. L. Narasimham, Chairman & Advisor, Kottam Institutions presided over the meeting.Dr. KSR. Anjaneyulu, explained the efforts taken by the university in creating facilities for the higher education and tie-up arranged with foreign universities and requested the students to study well and utility the opportunities.
